Hello to everyone,
I am very sorry to have to say that Nina and I won't be able to make it.
Forced by financial constraints and sudden commitments elsewhere that
have been hierarchically imposed on us, there is simply no chance that
we could make it to Manchester in time to attend. Although we could
quite possibly make it for the actual talk Sunday morning we do not wish
to attend in this way, which is so typical of many academics. Either/or,
really. We had been looking forward to meeting old and new faces and
have fruitful exchanges and sincerely hope that you all will have just that!
Our apologies to those who have put a lot of effort into the programme
of the conference.

at the moment we have 46 registered conference participants + 22
speakers which is a total of 68 persons. If you add a few persons
coming without registration I guess we are close to 100 participants.
Though this time the conference will be somewhat smaller than then
previous ones I still think it will be a very interesting place to be
and I'm really looking forward to meet you all.
